TI 189 NC

This extremely advanced unit is equipped with four cutters allowing the TI 189 NC to machine a strip on the four sides and to cut it to the required length. The top and bottom cutters feature an hydraulic system for lifting the tools during the return stroke avoiding chipping on the moulding and unnecessary wear on the tooling. The CNC feeder carriage, consisting of a very heavy duty structure intended to keep its accuracy over time, it is driven by a D.C. motor at a speed of 80 feet per minute, controlled by an encoder which constantly transmits its position with a very tight tolerance to the machine computer which controls its operation. The control computer gives the machine extreme flexibility, practicality, speed of setup and zero changeover time from one machining operation to the next. It carries in its memory the formulas for processing eight different types of grill. The special software makes it possible to choose three different types of trim cut (tenons) on the grill components. 1. Simple beveled trim. 2. 90 degrees rebate, should the outer frame be plain (no moulding) 3. Beveled tenon. The computer also optimizes the material by constantly monitoring the remaining length and accordingly chooses the components to be processed from the cutting bill, thus maximizing the yield. The front swinging head extends the vast range of capabilities for the TI 189 NC. It is pneumatically operated and electronically controlled by an encoder and in addition to the dado cut, it performs the mitre cut on the outer frame of the grill. The adjustable angle of the same, makes it possible to execute the connecting mitres between the quarter circle and the jamb in arch frames. A higher production speed using a more rational and more flexible manufacturing eliminates errors and optimizes labor cost. The TI 189 features a second drawn mobile carriage which eliminates any tail waste by allowing to machine up to the very end of the strip (about 6% recovery of materials compared to other systems). This mobile carriage intervenes automatically when the main carriage reaches its stroke end. The guidance computer is capable of storing 400 programs and patterns. The programs can be downloaded directly from a PC through a floppy disk or a direct serial connection. During operation of the machine the on-screen statistical data such as: the number of pieces programmed/executed/remaining are conveniently displayed.
